Random snapshots of places I frequent. That one coffeeshop has some killer desserts! iPhone camera and photography apps has been rocking my world :)

Where is this divine monestary of such scrumptuous delights? Ministry of Coffee. The desserts are simply foodgasmic :D

Due to a lack of a better subject matter, I humbly present:

Where I ate lunch today. It was epic bordering on mythical. Too bland not to be chronicled.

The soto here is yummy. Though with a portion that makes even me feel like a giant, and prices that puts a non-hawker-style soto place to shame... it's still yummy. (read: sitik tur rodo larang)

the magical world of calvin and hobbes

recently got a calvin and hobbes comic book as a birthday present. it made me all happy inside :D
Img_1853_s

this comic book is definitely one of those  masterpieces that doesn't corrode with time. about a boy and his best friend stuffed tiger, who wouldn't be able to relate? by far one of my favorite comic books ever, i've loved mr. watterson's creation since i was a wee little gal. and now being (a bit) older, i've come to deeply appreciate the profound themed undertone of this comic strip. re-reading these strips really made my week :) it really is magical to experience the world through calvin's accentric head.

below are some of the more thought-provoking strips of calvin and hobbes, about life&death and about people&nature. in some, you won't be able to help but smile and go "d'awww" while simultaneously have your heart a little bit broken. while in the others you'll feel that your mind has been officially boggled. *excuse my exhageration :P *
note: read in order to get the full effect.

road trip party of one

(download)

took a little trip to my childhood home to spend Ied with my gramps. drove there with my mum and since she stayed over, ended up driving back home alone (because a certain somebody wasn't awake to tag along; looking at you ndel). a two hour drive to get back to jogja it was. decided to take the scenic route, driving along acres after acres of rice paddies and clusters of trees before i reached a long stretched highway i could speed through. much to my delight, the mini roadtrip turned out niiiiice (with well-deserved extra i's for heightened intonation). accompanied by my current playlist of various the cure, death cab, and weezer songs, i enjoyed the loud quietness of my surroundings, singing (read:screaming) my head off as i manouvered the twisty windy country roads and sped down paved highways. it's nice to be alone and no pressures in having to entertain anyone but me. i should do this more often :)
